Short Biography

Nancy B. Velasco, MSEd. has her master’s degree in education with an emphasis in Online Instruction.  After completing her undergraduate degree, Ms. Velasco taught and led in post-secondary (adult) schools for over 11 years. During this time, she wrote her first book in computer technology. It came out when computer networking started becoming popular. She taught a variety of subjects, mostly computer, business, or keyboarding at the time.

She went on to lead a small technology team in a midsize Christian credit union. In this role the team became a family and supported the desktop, laptop, and phone infrastructure for the organization. Nancy B. Velasco facilitated Technology Training, sharing bits and pieces of "how to's" for the enterprise staffing. Nancy's team also led significant technology projects.  After 16 years working at the credit union, Ms. Velasco left to help at a church in the community.

Nancy enjoyed helping in multiple ways though her official title read Church Administrator or Secretary. She led in children's church, facilitated Bible studies, counseled women one-on-one, and did intercessory prayer.  Nancy did many behind the scenes duties: computer repair, media setup, spreadsheets, database management, and life group administration support.  She also published her first inspirational book, Untangled Spirit and Unfrozen Heart. Nancy began tutoring kids after school. She eventually left the church administration role and began private tutoring full-time.

Initially, Nancy B. Velasco, MSEd. drove everywhere. However, since the pandemic, all tutoring has moved to an online format. This has offered a better setup.  Continue exploring the website to learn of current offerings.

Neighborly.

Sojourners, people coming from all walks of life and arriving from various places, desire someone to extend a welcoming hand, to help bridge learning gaps, and to listen enough to hear their hearts.

Individualized.

Each student explores, interprets, responds, and learns in a style that uniquely shapes his or her world. Developing a lasting mentoring relationship begins by seeing each person as a unique individual and crafting sessions to promote growth.

Change Agent.

Caring enough to promote healthy growth requires boldly navigating with students through their weighty layers of negativity, self-doubt, and any negative pieces of thought and facilitating an awakening.
